Check In and Line Up
Check in will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Graduates must report to the check-in area no later than 12:30 p.m. and assemble for academic procession. The last opportunity to leave the line and use restroom facilities will be 12:30 p.m. Graduates who arrive after 12:30 p.m. are not guaranteed to sit with their School.
The check-in area is located at Right-Field entry which is on the south side of the ball park and across the street from the parking garage. It is very important that you make arrangements to leave all personal items such as purses, keys, coats, etc. with family members because you will not be allowed to carry them onto the field and we cannot be responsible for their safety or security during the commencement ceremony.
Guest Entrance and Seating
General admission tickets are required for entrance into the T-Mobile Park. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for guests.
Procession begins at 1:00 p.m. The Commencement Marshal leads the procession. Upon arrival at your seat on the field, you will remain standing. Graduates will sit on both side of the field. If you arrive late, you will need to fall in at the end of the procession. Once the procession has begun, there is no further opportunity for anyone to join his or her program group.
We have a large number of graduates to recognize this year and we ask that you not leave the ceremony until the ceremony has concluded in order to show the final graduate the same respect that we show the first graduate. Graduates, please remain on the field for the entire ceremony.
Recessional begins at 4:00 p.m. (approximate time) After all degrees have been conferred, the graduating class rises and remains standing throughout the faculty recessional. Upon completion of the faculty recessional, Program Marshals direct graduates from the field out the way they processed in. To prevent congestion, please proceed all the way out to the plaza next to the parking garage. Make arrangements to met family members on the plaza.
