Service Scholarships & Awards Winter 2019

Mary Gates Leadership and Research Scholarships

Mary Gates Leadership Scholarships encourage undergraduate students to develop their leadership abilities through practical experience, personal reflection and in community with mentors and peers. Mary Gates Leadership Scholarships are two-quarter awards totaling $5,000. The award is paid out in equal installments of $2,500 for each quarter.

Students Serving Washington Awards

The Students Serving Washington Awards (SSWA) aims to recognize and reward the work of outstanding Washington higher education students at Washington Campus Compact member institutions who are engaged in addressing and solving critical ecological, economic and social issues in our state, nation, and world.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship

The Truman is a national scholarship. 55 to 65 scholarships awarded annually.
Application Deadline: February 5, 2019

Udall Undergraduate Scholarship 

The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment.
In 2019, the Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 50 scholarships of up to $7,000 each.
