ACT Service Leads 2021-2022

Open to UW Bothell students.

Time: 14 – 19.5 hours a week
Pay: $16.69/hour  
GPA: Minimum 2.7
Duration: Summer 2021 through June 2022

Achieving Community Transformation (ACT) leads work as a team to promote and aid in creating a campus culture of service-learning, civic engagement and social justice. ACT leads plan events, programs, and service projects that promote inclusivity. These include: Voter Registration, MLK Programming, Alternative Spring Break, and others. In planning these service and civic engagement events, ACT leads collaborate with community organizations in the local and greater Seattle area, in addition to internal departments/organizations at UW Bothell and Cascadia College. We are looking for students who are passionate about civic engagement, social justice and student leadership. Experience in event planning, facilitation, and organizing is welcome but not required. ACT is located in UW1 in the Student Success Center under the Office of Community Based Learning and Research. Additional application materials may be required upon request

CBLR Communications Assistant

Time: 12 – 19.5 hours a week, occasional Saturday hours
Pay: $16.69/hour  
GPA: Minimum 2.7
Duration: May 3rd, 2021 through June 2022

This position will support communications and marketing for the Office of CBLR and Community Engagement for UW Bothell. The student in this role will be trained to update and edit web pages on the UW Bothell website, and will manage social media, graphic design, and other communication projects for students, community partners, and faculty to keep them engaged and informed about community engagement efforts at UW Bothell. The student will also deliver orientation presentations about CBLR throughout the summer and year, and assist with tabling and event planning.
