CBLR Student Program Assistant

Time: 12 – 19.5 hours a week, occasional Saturday hours
GPA: Minimum 2.7
Duration: May 11, 2020 through May 31, 2020
This student position will support the administration and coordination of Community-Based Learning and Research (CBLR) courses. The student will be trained to use the UW EXPO database, which helps track community partners, students, and faculty engaged in CBLR courses. The student will also deliver first-year, transfer, and admitted student orientation presentations about CBLR throughout the summer and year, and assist with on campus tabling and event planning. Strong communication, project management and coordination skills, are important as there will be ongoing opportunities to interact with students, faculty, and community partners, as well as manage, organize, and visualize different types of data.
ACT Service Leads

These student positions work as a team to promote and aid in creating a campus climate and culture of service-learning, civic engagement and social justice. Achieving Community Transformation (ACT) plans events, programs, and service projects related to ACT’s mission throughout the academic year. These include, MLK Programming, Alternative Spring Break, Earth Day EProgramming, Equity Workshops, Voter Registration, and community benefit drives (such as food, clothing, books) etc.
