DCX supports students in developing the skills, knowledge, and sense of belonging needed for success in their academic, personal, and career pathways. Through transformative learning, engaged scholarship, and active reflection, DCX encourages students to take ownership of their growth while fostering an inclusive and diverse learning community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DCX Courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>DCX courses are a central component of the First Year &amp; Pre-Major Program and fulfill UW Bothell Areas of Inquiry (AOI) requirements. These interdisciplinary courses support student exploration across UW Bothell&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/premajor\/pre-major-students\/meta-major-pathways\">Meta-Major Pathways<\/a>, including Arts &amp; Media, Business &amp; Policy, Education &amp; Society, Health &amp; Natural Sciences, Technology &amp; Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students entering UW Bothell with fewer than 60 credits are required to take a DCX (B CORE) course during their first quarter.
