Fall and Winter Quarters 2017-18

The School of Educational Studies (SES) Reader/Grader provides diverse services as a course assistant, which will include grading student papers and examinations. SES has 2 positions available starting in January (Winter quarter 2018).

  • B EDUC 210  TEACH AND LEARN Teaching and Learning in a Multicultural Society, Faculty member:  Tina Gourd 1/3/18 – 3/21/18

Job Responsibilities

·         Assist School faculty with reading and grading course assignments

·         Attend class lectures as needed

·         Consult with faculty as needed

·         Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

·         Currently enrolled in a minimum of 10 credits as University of Washington graduate or upper division undergraduate student and be a student in good standing

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in orally and in writing

·         Ability to follow instructions

·         Ability to meet deadlines

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team, both in person and remotely (on line)

·         Ability to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings and weekends), as needed, in order to meet deadlines as they relate to course assignments and faculty member’s schedule

·         Knowledge of internet, on line course resources (Canvas), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Office 365)

While not required, preference may be given to candidates familiar with education and educational studies.

Pay: The hourly rate is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience and at a minimum of $17 per hour.
