Advancement & External Relations - UW Bothell


This position is primarily to assist the University of Washington Bothell Assistant Vice Chancellor of Government and Community Relations in preparation for the 2018 Washington State Legislative Session and the Community Relations Events such as summer festivals. The person in this position will assist in tracking bills, conducting research and preparing materials including responding to legislative requests.  In addition, this person will assist in making legislative appointments and community events.

Duty Highlights:

  • Conduct legislative, fiscal and policy research
  • Track bills
  • May draft legislative amendments
  • Watch and or attend hearings and meetings
  • Correspond with legislators and staff
  • Prepare information and materials in various formats
  • Make appointments with legislators and staff
  • Assist with event preparation
  • Work with faculty, staff and student body
  • Other office duties as assigned

Starts Mid-August 2017

Approximately 19.5 hours per week, with a flexible work schedule available

$15 per hour depending on experience.
