The Office of Admissions at UW Bothell has an exciting opportunity for you to join the student ambassador program.  We are looking for energetic, responsible, organized, friendly, and confident students with strong communication and leadership skills to join the team.

Student Ambassadors are responsible for representing the University through providing daily campus tours, group tours, general customer service to prospective students, current students and the general public both in-person and on the phone, prospective student data entry, general office tasks and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide informative, accurate, engaging and memorable walking tours of campus to prospective students, families and other groups
  • Work with diverse populations and provide excellent customer service
  • General office work: data entry in SLATE, answering phones, scheduling advising appointments, assisting in-person visitors, opening mail, filing, making copies, compiling mailings, update social media accounts, and other duties as assigned
  • Attend required trainings and meetings
  • Assist with other admissions recruitment, outreach projects, and events as needed
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Occasional weekend event coverage is required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled UW Bothell student (12 credits, remain in good academic standing)
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for UW Bothell
  • Articulate, professional and responsible
  • Flexibility to adapt to different scenarios and answer questions appropriately
  • Strong computer, time management and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productsKnowledgeable about UW Bothell programs, amenities, and activities
  • Academic year-long commitment is preferred (Fall-Summer)

This position will allow you to gain work experience within a professional team environment. You will have the opportunity to learn office skills and university procedure and policy. Our office will work with you closely to find special projects that will expand on your interests as you gain experience within in the higher education system. Lastly, you will be working with a hardworking team of individuals who will be able to mentor and guide you as you gain these invaluable skills.

Hours: Monday through Friday, up to 19 hours per week with morning and afternoon availability for our daily 11am and 1pm tours

Pay: $15 an hour

Eligibility: UW Bothell students; work study and non-work study; all majors and disciplines
