UW Bothell CIAC - Bothell, WA

The Center for Information Assurance and Cybersecurity (CIAC) is located at UW Bothell with a Research Office at Benjamin Hall, Applied Physics Lab, on the Seattle campus.

CIAC received government funding to conduct workforce development research during Winter and Spring quarters 2018.  In this research project, CIAC will collaborate with experts at Arizona State University and University of Hawaii.  Research requires administrative office support and assisting with administration of assessments on-site at corporate and government sites. Access to personal vehicle is recommended.

This position is anticipated to average 10 hours per week for 6 months.


  • Maintain on-line data base and spreadsheets, in compliance with UW protocols
  • Learn and implement administrative protocols for on-line career assessment system
  • Download individualized reports to SharePoint
  • Assist with orientation of research participants to assessment
  • Research cybersecurity activities as assigned
  • Establish and maintain on-line filing system
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

  • Undergraduate student status
  • Funding source requires student be US Citizen
  • 18 years +
  • Strong computer “user” skills
  • Basic statistics skills
  • Ability to present to small groups
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Attention to detail

Desired experience and skills:

  • Ability to work independently with regular face-to-face meetings
  • Experience or strong interest in sociology or psychology research
