Residential Life


The Resident Advisor (RA) position is a live-in position within the University of Washington Bothell. Under the direct supervision of the Resident Director, the RA establishes a cohesive and responsible community in his/her designated area by doing the following:

  • Models and supports issues related to diversity
  • Facilitates the building of an inclusive community
  • Promotes resident involvement
  • Refers, advises and supports residents as they deal with academic and personal issues
  • Enforces and abides by the policies of UWB Residential Life and Housing and the University of Washington as well as Washington State and federal laws in the residence halls
  • Demonstrates sound judgment
  • Participates in and facilitates a team approach with coworkers
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks
  • Provides appropriate customer service to students and visitors

In order to be considered for the Resident Advisor position, you must attend one of the following information sessions below. If you cannot attend any of the information sessions listed below, please contact Andrew Saeyang for more information.

Information sessions during the month of January 2017:

Husky Village Community Center - UW1-103

  • January 9th @ 5:30PM
  • January 11th @ 11:30AM
  • January 18th @ 7:00PM
  • January 19th @ 1:00 PM
  • January 24th @ 5:30PM
  • January 23rd @ 1:00PM


  • Must be a full-time student at UWB
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5
  • Must be available to move into Husky Village on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 for RA Training, which will continue throughout the month of September, through Welcome Week, including Fall 2017 Move In Day on Friday, September 22nd. Also must be available Monday, January 1-2nd, 2018 for an Winter RA Training
  • Must be able to work as an RA from Autumn 2017 until the end of Spring 2018

Position Compensation:

  • Room: RAs are paid as a rate equal to a double room rate in either Husky Village or Campus View
  • Stipend: RAs also receive a stipend that is $400/month
