UWB IT is looking for students who can demonstrate various skills within the Information Technologies department. As a student employee, there will be consistent opportunities to learn and demonstrate your knowledge.

Helpdesk Computer and Technical Support:

  • Represent UWB IT as the first point of contact for our patrons
  • First point of contact with our patrons either through walk up, phone call, or email assistance
  • Assist patrons with checking out and checking in circulating equipment
  • Assist patrons with a number of Tier 1 computing questions
  • Creating and updating documentation for internal and external use

Classroom and Event Support:

  • Maintain a fast moving and constantly changing schedule for the deployment and recover of technology for events and classrooms
  • Assist your department leads in setting up and tearing down audio/visual equipment for events around campus

Production Services:

  • Assist department lead with editing, printing, and publishing of digital and physical media needs of the campus. This may include videos, photos, posters, etc.
  • Help set up for photo and video shoots around campus
  • Work with a variety of media editing software programs such as Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Microsoft Publisher.

Job requirements:

  • Must be a current UW student enrolled in at least 6 credits
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A minimum of one year prior customer service experience (paid or volunteer)
  • UWB IT requires a minimum 6 quarter commitment from our student hires due to the amount of necessary training.
