We are small but growing Canyon Park (Bothell) boutique CPA Firm looking for a customer-oriented, highly-organized team member!  Our most immediate need is for someone to assist professional staff in day to day operations during the upcoming tax season by providing clerical and phone support, but an assistant on an accounting career track will also be assigned bookkeeping and tax work, as your time allows.  Ideally you would be available to stay on with us after the main tax season.

We provide full service tax, monthly accounting, compliance, consulting, and advisory solutions to businesses and individuals. We work with our clients to both provide the solutions and education they need to support their success. This will allow you to be exposed to variety of issues and tasks on a daily basis.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is ensure smooth day to day operations while providing superior customer service.  This position is instrumental in ensuring clients have a most memorable, positive experience.

We offer an enjoyable work environment and a flexible part time schedule.  We are willing to schedule around children’s drop-off and pick-up school times, or your own class schedule

Hours will start out at about 4 to 5 hours per day, 4-5 days per week, (about 20+ hours per week to start). During tax season more hours will be available. 
Starting Pay: $15-$18+/hour, depending on your experience: Raise after 90 days based on performance. Hourly wage can increase at any time. 



  1. Answer phones in a friendly, warm manner.
  2. Schedule appointments
  3. Assemble and prepare completed tax returns for mailing
  4. Ensure CPA has all necessary materials for upcoming appointments.
  5. Print and record notes from client conversations in the CRM database.
  6. Keep CRM database up to date with client information
  7. Prepare and organize client files
  8. General back up support where needed.
  9. Maintain the office environment in organized condition.
  10. Scan & File statements in client e-file
  11. If you are on an accounting career track, then also input data in QuickBooks, assist with W-2 and 1099 and quarterly filings, and possibly tax prep with direction from CPAs

• Working knowledge of computers and MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

• 2 years of Accounting major in college preferred (duties will be assigned based on education and experience)

• Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.

• Knowledge of Lacerte a plus.

• Desire to learn and grow in a CPA firm a plus
