IT Student Help Desk Technician

Under the general direction and supervision of the IT Services Assistant Manager this position is responsible for tier 1 problem resolution, incident recording and escalation in the support of UW Bothell software, hardware, circulating equipment, computer labs and classroom technology. Student Helpdesk Technicians will work closely with IT colleagues and the UW Bothell academic community on a variety of computer and media related tasks and projects in different spaces across campus, including but not limited to the IT Helpdesk. Additional tasks may involve assisting IT staff with operating system deployments, application compatibility testing, software updates and patching, updating and creating web pages, tutorials, and other technical documentation. Student technicians may also be directed to assist with inventory, researching and generating reports on new IT technologies, creating workshops and presentations/orientations.
