The School of Nursing and Health Studies has an excellent opportunity for a motivated student to provide assistance in support of School office operations, publicity, and student services.


No experience is necessary. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, with strong communication skills (verbal and written), listening skills, and a desire to assist a diverse student population. We are looking for energetic team player to join our student services team to assist students, faculty, and staff inquiries.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

Administrative and Customer Service support, which may include:

Front desk coverage

  1. General clerical duties
  2. Assist with scheduling advising appointments
  3. Maintain orderly workspace/front desk
  4. Data entry  
  5. Other office-related duties and projects as assigned


Event and Publicity support, which may include:

  1. Flyer formatting and proofing
  2. Flyer distribution/posting
  3. Maintenance of the SNHS cork board
  4. Emailing students scholarship and job opportunities
  5. Room reservation requests and bookings
  6. Tech support requests and follow-up
  7. Event set-up, monitoring, and clean-up
  8. Flyer creation and distribution
  9. Keeping inventory


Compensation: $15.45/hour, up to 19 hours per week
Preferred Hours: Preferred 2- 5 days per week, within normal business hours 8am-4pm (flexible based on quarterly class schedule).
Appointment Duration: April through August 17 2018, with possibility extension into summer break and the possibility of rehire for Academic Year 2018-19
