Why minor in Business Administration?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Minoring in business is a great way to complement your primary area of study and enhance your leadership, communication skills, and relevancy in today’s global marketplace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Process for declaring the Business Administration minor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

University of Washington students from all non-business majors may earn a Minor in Business Administration at UW Bothell. Students enrolled at UW Seattle and UW Tacoma will be authorized for cross-enrollment in order to pursue the business minor. Interested students should discuss the feasibility of completing this minor with their major program advisor. An updated curriculum for this minor is effective in winter 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet with your academic advisor to plan completion of the minor prerequisites listed below. You can make an appointment with your advisor to discuss any of the Business minors. Once you\u2019ve completed the prerequisites satisfactorily, admission to the minor is guaranteed. Your academic advisor can officially enter the Business Administration minor into your student record. Contact uwbadvis@uw.edu<\/a> for assistance with selecting elective courses that fit your major or career interests<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curriculum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The minor if Business Administration is comprised of 25 total credits. As outlined in the table below, students have flexibility in the courses they take to fulfill these credits. There are several B BUS courses to choose from to fulfill your general electives requirement, including many with no prerequisites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

B BUS 120 – Introduction to Social Enterprise
B BUS 201 – Introduction to Business<\/td><\/tr>
General Electives<\/strong> (any<\/span> 300\/400 level B BUS)<\/em><\/strong><\/td>
15 credits<\/strong>

Business Minor policies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

15 credits of the minor must be completed at UW Bothell
No more than 5 credits of 100 level coursework can apply toward the minor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registering for classes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once you’ve officially declared the Business minor, you will be able to register for Business courses starting in Registration Period 2. Certain 300\/400-level Business courses require add codes for students in the minor. Each quarter, prior to the start of Registration Period 2, we send all students in the Business Administration minor a link to a form used to request course registration assistance and add codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduating with a minor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When you meet with your academic advisor to apply for graduation, you will include your major and any minors on the application form. Upon graduation, the minor will be indicated on your transcript but will not appear on your diploma.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
