Understanding Residency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To be classified or reclassified as a resident<\/em>, for tuition and fee purposes, a student must establish a bona fide domicile in the state of Washington<\/a> primarily for purposes other than education for the period of one year immediately prior to classification as a resident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are classified as a non-resident<\/em> on the Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgment you received and you believe you qualify for resident status, you may apply for a change of status<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarship and Financial Aid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The UW Bothell Master of Science in Accounting is a fee-based program<\/a>. Students in fee-based programs are not eligible for tuition exemption programs, institutional tuition waivers, or the Undergraduate\/Graduate University Grant programs, including the Husky Promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many students may qualify for federal loans through the U.S. Department of Education. To be considered, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The School of Business also offers scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000+ for select enrolled students. Additional information on funding opportunities are available through the UW Seattle Office of Student Financial Aid<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Graduate-level scholarships are highly competitive, so students are encouraged to explore a wide range of funding opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UW Bothell School of Business awards the MSA-PCE Scholarship each year. Up to 15 students are selected, with awards ranging from $500 to $3,000. The application deadline is in the fall, and details are provided directly to current students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional Scholarship Resources<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Graduate scholarships and grant opportunities are generally more competitive than undergraduate scholarship opportunities and graduate students are encouraged to widely research for opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
