Outdoor Trips & Events

Outdoor Wellness Fall Programming Coming Up Soon!

UW Bothell and Cascadia Students Welcome

Programs Description

Here are some examples of our outdoor trips and events. All trips are beginner friendly and we provide most (if not all) of the gear as well as transportation.

We love climbing over here at Outdoor Wellness! Every quarter we have indoor and/or outdoor climbing trips, we even offer participants opportunities for getting belay certfied!

Hiking trips are our bread and butter. We offer trips at both local and more backcountry locations. Our usual local spots are St. Edwards Park or Northcreek Forest, and our backcountry locations can be as far as 3 hours away from campus. Each hiking trip usually comes with a theme such as photography or Halloween.

Backpacking & Car Camping

Backpacking and camping are great ways to connect with nature and yourself! We have backpacking and car camping trips every year ranging from overnight to almost a week long. Our longest backpacking trip each year has been our Post-Graduation trip, we even have plans to take it international!

Winter Sports

OWLs thrive in the snow! Every Winter quarter we take students out on skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, etc. We usually provide gear or subsidize cost of rentals for you. Our annual ski trip has the highest attendance out of all our programs.

From Cooper Lake to our backyard Sammamish River, our canoeing trips are always a big hit! It only takes 5 minutes to learn the basics of canoeing and you are good to go. We sometimes incorporate canoeing on camping trips which makes the experience more challenging yet super fun and fulfilling.

Cabin Trips

Every Winter we rent out a cabin where we go to hang out and enjoy the snow.
