ARC Reopening ARC overlook

In accordance with public health guidelines the ARC is providing a phased re-entry which includes several operational, cleaning and safety changes. Operations will be updated as regulations and public health guidance change. 

 

Coming to the ARC?

The ARC has reopened for limited hours and capacity. Later phases of our plan will allow for adjusted operations in accordance with campus guidelines. 

Facilities available in current phase are listed below. 

  • Overlook: this space is an accessible and safe location for student learning for those who may not have access to the internet or designated quiet places to study.
    • Location: 2nd floor of ARC
    • Capacity: 41 work stations
    • Amenities: individual work stations with power outlet options
  • Fitness Center: in accordance with the state of Washington's Healthy Washington-Roadmap to Recovery plan, the Fitness Center will open with COVID-19 related policies and procedures in place that must be followed.
    • Location: Lower Level of ARC
    • Capacity: 6 with 7 total 45-minute time slots per day
    • Amenities: Cardio machines, strength equipment, free weights
    • Operations:  Fitness Center use requires a Fitness Center Access reservation

Overlook Operations Information

The ARC has modified facility operations. All operations & policies have been put in place to protect the health and safety of every student, employee, and visitor. Failure to comply will result in the immediate removal from the facility.

Check-in & Contact Free Entry

  • No reservation required for Overlook
  • Building doors will be unlocked during operating hours
  • Must complete health attestation form, ARC staff will confirm completion upon entry 
  • ARC staff will assign one work station to be used for the duration of the visit
  • Follow floor markers and egress/ingress signage
  • No re-entry privileges
  • All guidelines and policies must be followed 

Guidelines & Policies 

  • FACE COVERINGS: Face coverings are required at all times.
  • ASSIGNED TABLES: Individuals must stay at their assigned tables for the duration of their visit.
  • PHYSICAL DISTANCING: Must maintain 6 feet of distance from other individuals. 
  • PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE: Wash hands often, avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • SIGNAGE: Follow all building guidelines, directional signage and floor markers.
  • HEALTH ATTESTATION FORM: Complete heath attestation form prior to entering the facility, must be completed upon each visit (per day). 
  • STAY HOME: If you are sick with any potential illness, you must stay home.

  • Registration required. To make a reservation time visit MyARC
    • Currently enrolled students at the University of Washington-Bothell and Cascadia Community College will have access to register 
    • Picture ID must be present upon entry 
  • Must complete health attestation form, ARC staff will confirm completion  
  • Follow floor markers and egress/ingress signage
  • Only one registration per day
  • All guidelines and policies must be followed

  • CHECK-IN: Must check in with ARC staff prior to entering Fitness Center

  • PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE: Wash hands often, avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • STATIONS: Only 1 person permitted in Activity Station at a time.
  • HEALTH ATTESTATION FORM: Complete heath attestation form prior to entering the facility, must be completed upon each visit (per day). 
  • EXIT: Please exit the facility upon completion of your 45-minute workout session.
  • STAY HOME: If you are sick with any potential illness, you must stay home. 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need a campus ID card to enter the ARC?
    • No, the ARC will be unlocked during operating hours. An ID will need to be presented to access the Fitness Center. You can watch the ARC re-entry video to check out all that's new with the ARC!
  • Can I take my mask off when I sit at my table or work-out?
    • Masks are required at all times in the facility but can be taken off if actively drinking or eating at your individual work station. Eating is not allowed in the Fitness Center. 
  • I cannot wear my mask due to medical issues, how do I communicate this to staff?
    • All students are required to wear a mask when using the ARC. If students need accommodations for space on campus please contact:

  • What in-person and online/virtual programs are available?
  • How will I know if the ARC closes early?
    • All updates to ARC hours and operations will be updated on the ARC website. For the most up to date hours of operation you can call the ARC information desk: 425-352-3878.
  • What happens when the ARC is at capacity?
    • Once the ARC is at full capacity, no other individuals will be admitted into the space. 
  • Will a device be provided at the workstations for me to use in the Overlook?
    • No, each individual must provide their own supplies to use while using the space.  
  • What happens if I pay for parking to use the ARC and no space is available?
