Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce
Director of Operations
Managing a city’s image, engaging with local businesses and building relationships with the public is all in a day’s work for Britney Caldwell. As the Director of Operations for the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce, Britney works with local businesses and the community to help meet the needs of the public. As Britney continues to grow and advance in her career, she confides that she would not be where she is today without the solid foundation she built while attending the University of Washington Bothell.
Britney graduated from UW Bothell in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration. As a student in the Business Program, Britney learned many industry standards that she utilizes in her daily work. She boasts that a lot of the knowledge she learned about serving the public came from Professor Balakrishnan’s marketing class. The projects that she completed in his classes presented her with the tools that helped her redesign the Chamber’s web site for easier use. She also rebranded the Chamber’s marketing materials. Her work has certainly paid off. Since she has been working for the Chamber, membership has increased by 50%.
Britney has been able to successfully translate her well-rounded education into this exhilarating new career and she acknowledges that “UW Bothell has been a tremendous help” in the process. Britney looks forward to being able to give back to the UW Bothell community by continuing to maintain strong relationships with many of the on campus resources including the Career Center.
