About the Program
The Worthington Innovation Fellows program was launched in February 2013 by the Office of Academic Affairs to support the use of technology to enhance innovation across the campus.
The initative is made possible through generous funding from the Worthington Technology Fund and supports the priority for innovation called for in the 21st Century Campus Initiative strategic plan.
Fellowships are awarded annually to support individual or team projects, with up to $6,000 in funding available for each project selected. Fellowship opportunities are announced each Winter for cohorts beginning in Spring. A separate Call for Proposals will be announced for each opportunity.
Worthington Innovation Fellows will be asked to report to the campus community at the conclusion of their work through a brief written report and a public presentation at the Chancellor’s Innovation Forum, the Teaching and Learning Symposium, or other public forum. Fellows will also participate in a Worthington Innovation Fellows circle during the period of the award to facilitate the sharing of ideas, resources and strategies.

Funding for these projects is made possible by the generous support of Lois and Richard Worthington, through their creation of the Worthington endowment funds. In addition to supporting teaching, research and student scholarships, these endowments have also generously supported the uses of technology in innovative programs such as Worthington Innovation Fellows.
