The Writing Center is hosting two Creative Writing Peer Groups this quarter! These groups are peer-faciliated and provide a safe, supportive environment where students can share their creative writing and get feedback from their colleagues.
Prose and more! on Tuesdays from 3:30--5:00pm, beginning January 12, in room UW2-228. Facilitated by Debbie Brown.
Poetry and more! on Wednesdays from 11:00am--12:30pm, beginning January 13, in room UW2-228. Facilitated by Nicholas Klacsanzky.
While Debbie's expertise is prose, and Nicholas' is poetry, any type of creative writing is welcome at either group. Students are welcome to attend either or both groups.
Participants can share their creative writing projects and receive helpful suggestions and constructive criticism from other group members. Any kind of creative writing is welcome: short stories, poetry, chapters of novels, creative non-fiction, genre fiction, movie or play scripts, experimental writing, mixed-media projects, and anything that doesn’t fit into these boxes.
Everyone is welcome, from first-time writers to published veterans. Come join us in this safe, supportive environment in which to share your creative writing. No need to sign up—just come and have some great conversation with other student writers!
