My name is Delta and I grew up everywhere. Well, everywhere defined as the northwest hemisphere, courtesy of the US Air Force. My constantly shifting and exciting childhood involved multiple languages, continents, climates and DEFCON threat levels. With so much to take in, one learns to sink or swim, and I've always enjoyed swimming. Survival in a fluid environment involves adaptation. Adaptation means you learn about your surroundings, you learn about the people around you and you learn how to best incorporate that in your life. Learning was something I had to do to survive-now it's something I love to do. I love that my worldview has stretch marks.
I like not to know. Finding out is my adventure. I like teaching and tutoring because I get to share in someone else's adventure. From elementary school sidewalk chalk to Machiavelli and Chaos, as long as there is something new to know I want to find it out. I've found that there is only so much that I can find out on my own. Being around other people fuels the fire of my discovery and being with other people who are actively learning is thermite for my brain. It lights me up, melts down what was and creates something new.
Would you like to be my adventure buddy?
