Off Campus Student Housing - Roommate Finder
Sharing housing can have many benefits, but it can also present problems. It is important to find a compatable roommate. here are a few questions to address while searching for a roommate:
- Finances: who will pay what? If a room is better/bigger will someone pay more? Will someone who needs more heat pay for the electricity?
- Food: Will you split food costs and share or have your own? Are you a strict vegetarian, but they eat meat daily?
- Chores: Who will clean the shared living space? Will the person keep their area clean for when guests arrive.
- Dating/Guests: Will your roommate have a lot of guests over all the time?
- Habits: Does this person want to stay up until 3am? Do they like to play loud music all the time?
- Space: How will you share living spaces (living room, dining room, extra room, kitchen, bathroom, parking, etc).
