Receiving Your Diploma
Students receive their diploma three to four months after the quarter in which they have graduated. The diploma is mailed to the permanent address on file with the Office of the Registrar.
Ordering Additional Diplomas
If you wish to order additional or replacement diplomas, send the Diploma Replacement Form to the Office of Graduation and Academic Records. The diploma replacement fee is $20.00. Once an order form has been submitted, it takes six to eight weeks for the diplomas to be delivered.
Diplomas are issued with your name as it appears on MyUW and your transcript. It includes:
- Legal First Name
- Legal Last Name
To indicate hyphens, spaces, lower/upper case letters, accents, or other special characters on your diploma, complete the Diploma Name Request Form [UoW1993] by the last day of the quarter you plan to graduate.
University Records Name
To change your name on your University records you must complete a Change of Name form and provide appropriate legal documentation. May include:
- Marriage license/certificate
- Court order
- Divorce decree
- Permanent visa
