Starting Fall Quarter 2016, funding towards childcare assistance will be available to qualifying students in addition to already granted financial assistance. The funds are a result from a proposal request by The Parent Union in conjunction with the financial aid office to the Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAF). The funds of 105,000 dollars granted by SAF are a pilot program for the academic year, distributed in fall, winter and spring quarters with a cap of 35,000 per quarter.
Staff and faculty are encouraged to advise students of such opportunity and parenting students please apply ASAP to this link: application and visit the web page.

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is designed to offset childcare costs associated with the student-parent’s ability to attend UW Bothell while completing their degree program. This award is funded by the Services and Activities Fees paid by students attending the UW Bothell campus. The CCAP funds will cover the costs of licensed childcare for children between the ages of birth through 12 years old. Although charges associated with full-day public kindergarten may be considered, kindergarten charges associated with private schools are not typically covered. The CCAP fund is available on a first-come, first-served basis with priority consideration given to those student who meet the CCAP priority application date of August 31, 2016.
The Seattle Milk Fund is a childcare and family support program that helps students financially with not just the cost of childcare but also the cost of other family expenses due to being a college student. Please visit this website for more information.
