Peer Health Educators

Health Educators Reaching Out (HEROs)
The HEROs (Health Educators Reaching Out) are UW Bothell’s Peer Health Educators. HEROs use research to inform their workshops and events on health issues relevant to UW Bothell students. HEROs collaborate as a team and with other departments to create inclusive and diverse programs. Six HEROs are hired and trained to fulfill individual roles that are responsible for the following health topics:

  • Sexual Health & Communication
  • Global Health
  • Violence Prevention
  • Body Image & Nutrition
  • Mental Health
  • Alcohol & Other Drugs

The HEROs are Certified Peer Educators through the BACCHUS Network and every year participate in the BACCHUS Regional Conference where we interact and come together with Peer Health Educators nation-wide for programming ideas and learning new ways to provide campuses with the top health and wellness education.
