MAPS Capstone Pre-Proposal and Advisor Nomination Form

After exploring the interests and availability of all Policy Studies faculty and evaluating their own methodology and documentation interests, students should describe an area of inquiry that will be the basis of their Capstone projects in the Capstone Pre-proposal box below. Then, students should identify three Capstone Advisor nominations and rank them in order of preference. Although students’ rankings are heavily weighted, two other key factors will be considered in the final capstone advisor assignment: 1) current faculty availability and advising loads; and, 2) assessment of "fit" between faculty research interests and student goals. Some students may not receive one of their top three choices.
