Good Marrow Huskies!
My name is Mike and I will be your orientation during the 2016-17 school year. As you transition into the UW Bothell community, I am here to help make your transition as smooth as possible.
I am at the end of my junior year here at UWB, I was born in New Jersey, but have lived in the Bothell area most of my life, I even graduated from Bothell High School. I transferred here from next door, with an AA from Cascadia College and now I am working hard on my two majors American and Ethnic Studies, and Culture Literature, and Arts Then it’s on to graduate school for my masters of education to teach high school history and English. Being a non-traditional student on campus doesn’t leave me with a lot of time for the many amazing clubs UWB has to offer, when I can I like to play in the many intermural sport activates here I am working on starting a theater club on campus, so if you have any ideas or would like a club like this here let me know. The campus of UBW is shockingly surprising for being so small it has so many things I am still discovering them myself all the time, it’s kind of awesome.
Off campus you can find me working at O’Reilly, I try to catch a few Mariner games when I can. I also love the Seattle Sounders and am sad I at this time cannot keep my season tickets, Go Seahawk by the way huge fan there too. If I’m not watching or playing sports I’m down town listing to live music, or hiking, camping, anything I can do outdoors, or lastly anything I can with my two teenagers. I have and do volunteer at Children’s hospital, or the Big Climb in Seattle for Cancer research.
I am really excited to meet all of you incoming students! UW Bothell is such a great place to call home
