My name is Itayetzin Govea-Galicia, but you can call me Itay for short because I know my name is a handful. I will be your Orientation Leader during the 2016-2017 school year. I’m going to be a sophomore this coming year, hoping to major in Health Studies and Biology and getting all my Pre-Med requisites done, in order to become a Pediatrician. The reason I want to become a Pediatrician is because I absolutely love kids and I love caring for them and helping them. I was born in Mexico City, but I came to Seattle when I was one-year old and have lived here ever since.
On campus I am involved with the Pre-Med Health Club here on campus, which helps students whom are looking to go into the Medical Field. I am also involved with the Muslim Student Association.
For fun, I like to play sports, especially soccer, watch horror movies and hang out with friends.
One thing I really love about UW Bothell is all the diversity that this campus has to offer. There are all types of people here, which allow students to engage and learn about different cultures and make everyone feel welcomed.
I can’t wait to meet all of you! And be able to help with whatever I can!
