My name is Alexa Steele and I am going into my senior year this fall at the University of Washington Bothell (UW Bothell). I have lived Washington all of my life in a gorgeous town at the base of the Cascade Mountain Range called Sultan. I came here from Everett Community College after finishing my Associates Degree through Running Start. I am excited to begin my journey into the Community Psychology program here at UW Bothell this coming fall.
When I am not working hard, I am playing hard. Growing up in a town surrounded by beautiful nature, I naturally fell in love with the outdoors. I love being outside whether at the beach, on a hike, or camping, that is where I spend most of my free time. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, I am the youngest of three kids. I have a niece and nephew, we call them P-Nut and Little Man but their real names are Arlena and Rowdy. They are the light of my life so be prepared to hear about those little bundles of joy often. Besides the outdoors, I absolutely love music. I am a huge country lover but I listen to anything from 80’s Hair Bands to Macklemore.
I have been a Husky from a young age, purple and gold has ran through my veins since I was born. It was not until recently that I started to really enjoy football, so naturally I have grown to love our home team. GO HAWKS!
I am here for you. I become an Orientation Leader because I can’t wait to help you make that big leap into the university life. I am here to help put you at ease for this transition and to answer any questions you may have. I hope to help you enjoy being a Husky as much as I do. And part of enjoying your time here is getting involved and having a little fun.
UW Bothell is an amazing place to call home. I love how easy it is to get involved and make friends, these memories will last you a life time. You will be attending a very diverse and welcoming place. There are so many ways to get involved from many numerous clubs to events like dances or guest speakers. I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I have. I can’t wait to meet all of you and to get to know you!
