Hello everyone! My name is Peter Khaouly and I am a junior at University of Washington Bothell who is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. During High School I was enrolled in the Running Start program at Edmond's Community College which allowed me to gather enough credits to be considered as a junior at UWB in my first year of attendance. I enjoy playing music and my favorite instruments to play are the guitar and piano. I love being surrounded by various cultures, urban environments, and music. I have a soft spot for nature, so I find great difficulty in choosing my favorite season of the year. On campus I am connected to the Aviation Club with several other students who research and create models of gliders out of basic materials. However, I can easily be found studying with others at the Quantitative Skills Center or socializing at events on campus. UWB was my first choice, because I loved the idea of the smaller class rooms and having the ability to easily communicate with my teachers. My favorite class was Engineering Physics with a professor named Tom Fleming. I loved his way of teaching and how he motivated his students to create their own experiments using Newton’s Laws from class. There was plenty of room for creativity! I am excited to meet everyone this summer and to see all of you become part of the UW Bothell community!
