Hey Dawgs, my name is James Watson and I’m a third year student at UW Bothell.
I’ve lived in Washington my whole life, graduating from Everett High School in 2005. I split time growing up in the city of Everett, as well as rural Mason County, on the Kitsap Peninsula. My major is Environmental Studies, and I have worked in the field of habitat restoration for two years as a science technician. I worked for the Washington Conservation Corps in 2009 and 2010 and received an award from President Obama for my service.
I am an avid outdoorsman, and actively fish, forage, and hike. I really enjoy visiting the wetlands on campus, and losing myself in the sounds, smells, and sights that they offer. There aren’t many campuses where you can watch a beaver do its thing between classes! I am greatly looking forward to being an Orientation Leader, and meeting all the incoming students!
