Alexa Uri

Hey Huskies! My name is Alexa Uri, and I will be a junior here at the University of Washington Bothell in Autumn 2013. I was born and raised in Mukilteo, Washington and graduated from Kamiak high school in 2011. I recently declared a double major in Law, Economics, and Public Policy along with Global Studies. I hope to apply these majors to a job encompassing traveling and working with people across the globe. My journey thus far at UWB has been a blast! The cozy and diverse community and the smaller classroom sizes which allow easy communication with professors is what brought me to this campus my freshman year. and since then I've been able to establish friendships that will truly last a lifetime. My favorite class that I've taken so far has been "History and Globalization" because the course really opened my eyes to how interconnected countries across the globe are. Although I'm busy here on campus with the Orientation program, I am also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Sigma Alpha Lambda, and am involved in Lutheran Ministries at UW Seattle. I also love to fish, play soccer, run, and play the piano. I love to be up and moving around! Outside of the university setting I am a barista at Starbucks and have been with the company since 2010. I am excited for this upcoming year, and I hope you are excited to become a part of the University of Washington Bothell family! Go Dawgs!
