I was born in Washington but moved away to Louisiana when I was 4-years-old. Recently I moved back here to attend college. For that reason I have traveled through most of the United States. Road trips and a camera are two of my favorite things. Cooking and eating are also things I enjoy immensely and I would like to become a nutritionist although I am majoring in psychology. My involvement on campus is the Dream Project and I am proud of it.

I have been a homeschooler and transferred here from Everett Community College after completing the Running Start program. I am working to complete a degree in Community Psychology and go on to work in that field. At UWB I have started and actively participate in a student organization and go to as many events as I can. Other than school I enjoy walking and I love to hike with my family and Miniature Dachshund.

Born in Russia and raised in Washington, immigrating to America forced me to pour my efforts into school. So I am able to succeed, obtain my lifelong goal of becoming a lawyer. Down the road I see myself launching a law firm, creating financial freedom, and starting a family. I enjoy helping my husband business, being a landlord, participating in school activities such as DECA, and searching for new ways to make lasting memories with people.

I was born in Hong Kong, and moved to Seattle when I was eight years old. I transferred from Shoreline Community College to UWB in Winter, 2010. Besides working as an orientation leader, I'm also the treasurer of YAL, and member of FMA and Beta Alpha Psi. When Iʼm not busy with homework and extra-curricular activities I like to play videogames on my PS3 and go boxing at Cappyʼs Gym in Seattle. By the way, Iʼm obsessed with The Office, best TV show on the planet.

Hello! My name is Martin Yanagihara and I love anything that has to do with sports, especially football, basketball and baseball. By the time I graduate I would like to have already started my career in the business world as an entrepreneur or in business management. In my life I hope to have a successful career, living a happy life beside my family, with a vacation spot back home in Hawaii.

My choice of career after my education completes is to be a pediatrician. In five years from now, I plan to continue my education, pursuing medicine in the UW Medicine programs. My interests include networking, family time like parties and the occasional hanging out with relatives. I also enjoy sitting back on a nice couch catching up with friends about school, work, and life. My hobbies include playing Starcraft, tennis, and the recreational UDub-opoly.

My entire life, I have always set goals for myself. Whether it was beating the 10-minute mile in gym class, to finishing my homework a week in advance, I always set goals for myself in which I knew I could achieve. Currently, my goal is to finish up my next two years here at UWB with a degree in Community Psychology. After that, I plan to head either to UW Seattle or Seattle University for law school, in hopes of becoming an attorney, and owning my own practice one day. I have, on several occasions, witnessed people who have been treated unfairly, or wrongly accused of something; therefore I want to become a lawyer to allow everyone an equal opportunity of having their voice heard. After completing law school, which is hopefully around the time I am 25, I want to start a family, and have 2 children with my (future) husband! I look forward to my future, and am ready to take on whatever is in store.

Omair Khan

Hello! I’m Omair Khan, a freshman at the University of Washington Bothell. I graduated from Shorewood High School, and was a member of the boys golf team all 4 years. I’m an active member and director (marketing) of the Golf Club at UWB. Also I’ve been able to successfully bring fair trade coffee in our commons coffee shop! I am planning to major in business management. After college I would prefer working in a business that promotes diversity and awareness in the community.
