Poster Design and Printing

If you do decide to present your work at a poster session event, your faculty member will have design advice and suggestions for you, but here are some additional sources of information for you to consult:

• Creating Effective Poster Presentations, a site from North Carolina State University
• A large and nice selection of information about poster presentations is available here.
• The Space Grant Program at UW Seattle has information available on the Basics of Poster Presentation.
• UW Seattle's Institute of Translationsal Health Sciences has a video presentation available called A Primer on Making Informative and Impressive Poster Presentations.
• The Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium has Information on Symposium Posters available, which includes information about places to print posters.  The UW Seattle campus has several places to print posters inexpensively.  Depending on where you print your poster, you may need to deposit some money onto your Husky Card, your student ID card, which you can do in MyUW.
