Nursing and Health Studies Program

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Master of Nursing program is competitive and based on acceptance by the UW Graduate School and the School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Washington Bothell.

Applicant Requirements 

  • A baccalaureate nursing degree from an NLN- or CCNE-accredited program OR
  • An associate degree or diploma and a baccalaureate degree in another field

  • Minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last 90 graded quarter credits (or 60 semester credits)
  • Three-credit course in descriptive and inferential statistics
    minimum grade of 2.0
  • Three nursing references: 1) academic director or instructor; 2) clinical supervisor; 3) a second academic or clinical recommendation
  • A personal statement of purpose relevant to the program objectives
  • A resume describing educational background, professional nursing experience, and readiness for graduate study
  • Experience in nursing reflected in references, statement and resume
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Washington.
