How to Apply

Are you ready?

At the University of Washington Graduate School website create an application account ID and password.  Review all guiding instructions and required elements of the application and consider how your essay, resume and references can supply information that demonstrates your abilities and readiness for graduate work.

Confirm that your three nursing references are ready to participate and that you have current e-mail addresses. Of the three total, at least one should be an academic instructor and one a clinical supervisor.

Collect previous college transcripts to scan. Unofficial transcripts from online and unsealed transcripts can be used for the initial admissions review.

Submit all the required application forms online:

  • Application form and $85 fee
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Resume
  • Names and e-mail addresses for nursing academic and clinical references
  • Scanned copies of all college transcripts. Submissions can also be by U.S. mail.
  • MN Program Additional Information Form

Keep informed on the arrival of all your materials. It is important for you to make sure the application is complete. Your online application account will record received materials.  E-mail or call if you see that your application remains listed as incomplete.

Watch for e-mail updates on other important information (financial aid, questions on your applications, and more).
