Linda Rylander Bale has worked in support of students and the University of Washington campuses since 1988.  She started her work as the Master of Nursing Academic Advisor in 2007. Her history with the University includes assignments as Program Coordinator for the School of Medicine, Office of the Dean (1988-94); Assistant to the Director of Student Affairs and Admissions Advisor at the University of Washington Bothell (1994-1999); Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Financial Aid for the UW Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs (1999-2002); and undergraduate Admissions Lead (2002-2007) for the University of Washington Bothell. Simultaneously, Linda has partnered with University and community nonprofits to provide access and support student success in higher education by her active membership in the UW cross-campus CAN-DO Committee, the Mariner High School Achievers Program, the UW Bothell Pride Alliance, the UW Bothell Graduate Advisors, and the UW Bothell Intercultural Student Organization. Focused on equity and excellence in higher education staff-faculty communities, Linda also did foundational work to establish the University of Washington Bothell General Staff Organization (1998) and served as the Vice Chair and Interim Chair 2002-2007.
