UW Bothell grad wins national management award

BOTHELL, Wash. – UW Bothell alumnus, Raul Biascoechea, was named Manager of the Year by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Biascoechea earned his MBA from UW Bothell in 2002.

As the Chief Customer Engineer, 747/767/777 Airplane Programs for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Biascoechea leads a team of approximately 80 engineers, engineering technicians, and managers. Biascoechea said that “a lot of credit for this honor goes to the excellent education that I received in the UW Bothell MBA program.”

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers is a national organization originally formed to help the Hispanic community realize its fullest potential and impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.

The organization announced the winners of its prestigious STAR Awards on August 22. The STAR Awards is a national program that recognizes outstanding Hispanic professionals in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
