UW Bothell and Children’s Home Society to Host North End Community Health Fair

BOTHELL, Wash. – The University of Washington Bothell and the Children’s Home Society of Washington’s North Seattle Family Center host the North End Community Health Fair on May 24. The purpose of the event is to provide basic health service and information to underserved individuals living in the north King County area.

The health fair, which is free and open to the public, was organized by Dr. Mabel Ezeonwu, nursing program assistant professor, along with the students in her UW Bothell community nursing partnerships course. Dr. Ezeonwu is a scholar in the Sigma Theta Tau International and Elsevier Foundation Nurse Faculty Mentorship Leadership program, which is partially funding this event.

The health fair will take place at the North Seattle Family Center in Lake City. Additional community partners participating in this event include: UW Bothell Nursing Faculty and RN-BSN Students; Seattle Cancer Care Alliance; Pacific Medical Clinic, Northgate; and Seattle–King County Public Health.

The event is free and open to the public.
