BOTHELL, Wash., February 16, 2011 – The University of Washington Bothell welcomes Gerald McMorrow, CEO of Verathon, today in this month’s “Meet the CEO” program.
Headquartered in Bothell, Verathon designs and manufactures state-of-the-art medical devices. McMorrow founded Verathon and has led the company through its transformation from a small start-up venture to an international corporation. He was named winner of the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Health Services category in 2006.
Sponsored by the UW Bothell Business Program, Meet the CEO is a monthly forum providing undergraduate and graduate business students and alumni with the rare opportunity to hear from and engage with prominent business leaders in a boardroom-style setting.
Previous Meet the CEO talks have featured Kemper Freeman, Jr, Dave Brooks of Providence Everett, and Ian Morris of Market Leader. Typical topics of discussion range from what makes a business plan successful, to words of advice for recent and upcoming graduates entering the business world.
