Amazon looking for more innovators

The Amazon Catalyst Fund chose the University of Washington Bothell’s Tyler Folsom as one of its first fellows to support his work developing self-driving bicycles.

Now the fund welcomes the next round of tri-campus applications from University of Washington faculty, staff or students passionate about innovations with global impact. Up to $100,000 is available for projects in health care, environemental science, communications, manufacturing and education.

With the UW’s collaborative innovation hub CoMotion, the Seattle online retailer is offering up to $100,000 per project.

An information session for UW Bothell will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the top floor of the ARC. The deadline for this quarter’s applications is Nov. 23.
