BOTHELL, Wash. – The University of Washington Bothell is celebrating 20 years with a open house/campus celebration on Saturday, May 15, 12:00-4:00 p.m.
The public is invited to this fun-filled event to feature: music, tours, food, children’s activities, networking and career development, educational sessions, and historic information.
Slated activities are as follows:
12:00 to 12:30 Formal Program in the Commons, featuring UW President Mark Emmert, UW Provost Phyllis Wise, UW Regent Herb Simon, UW Bothell Chancellor Kenyon Chan, Senator Rosemary McAuliffe, City of Bothell Mayor Mark Lamb
12:30 to 1:00 Faculty Meet and Greet
12:30 to 2:00 BBQ
1:00 to 1:30 Featured Speaker – Alan Wood, “What Does World History Have to Say About Leadership?”
2:00 to 2:30 Featured Speaker – Jane Van Galen, “Teaching and Learning in the Age of Google”

The 5th Annual UW Bothell 5K Run-Walk to benefit the UW Bothell Alumni Council Scholarship Fund will begin at 9:00 a.m. (registration at 8:00 a.m.). Participants will enjoy the scenic campus of UW Bothell and Cascadia Community College while getting fit and supporting scholarships for future students.
