BOTHELL, Wash. - The University of Washington Bothell is proud to announce Representative Mike Hope as the 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award winner.
The award recognizes UW Bothell Alumni who have shown distinguished professional achievements or outstanding community service work since graduating from the institution. Previous winners include Natalie Kay Lang, Vicki Austin and Wendy Hough.
Representative Hope graduated from the UW Bothell in 2006 with a Master's degree in Policy Studies and is the first alumni to ever hold public office. Hope is active in his community, coaching track and wrestling for the local public high school. He and his wife, Sarai, also own Hope's Gym, where they provide a place for student athletes to receive personal training and gain athletic knowledge and improvement.
