Admission to the Master of Science in Computer Science & Software Engineering requires the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.  As a minimum, the M.S. in Computer Science & Software Engineering curriculum expects students to have working knowledge in the following:

  • High-level of competency in object-oriented programming languages including: C/C++ and Java
  • Operating systems
  • Software processes and software development lifecycle models (prescriptive and agile)
  • Requirements engineering
  • System modeling (such as using UML)
  • Analysis and Design

Applicants with a bachelors degree in other areas can fulfill these prerequisites through the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Software Design & Development.
