Finding journals & magazines that feature poetry and fiction

The following are a list of some of the publications we carry that feature fiction or poetry. You can find them in our Periodicals section; they are arranged on the shelves alphabetically.

The linked titles will take you to current online issues of that journal or magazine (although many provide only selected access to some articles). For back issues, do a title search in the UW Libraries Catalog.

Bellowing Ark Harper's

Additional Journals

Some current and recent back issues of the following journals are also available online through our Academic Search Complete (Ebsco) UW Restricted database. After selecting a title below, select an issue from the list. If that issue includes a table of contents, try that first; they usually identify whether a title is a poem or short story. You may also search within the entire publication.

Note: Not all authors or publishers grant copyright permission for their work to appear in another format; in some cases, an entire issue of a magazine might be available full-text except for the fiction or poetry.

The Atlantic Monthly (1993 - present) The Paris Review (1990 - present)
Harper's Magazine (1992 - 2007) Ploughshares (1990 - present)
