Second Life is a virtual 3-D world, in which people from many different physical locations can meet online to chat, participate in various learning and business activities, and engage in other social events. UWB has a building in Second Life that you are free to visit and use. The building is located on the Teaching Island along with a few other institutions such as Clemson, New York University, and the University of Wisconsin Madison. We also can use a shared commons area on the island that includes meeting spaces and an auditorium. If you already have access to Second Life, you can use this link (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Teaching/177/94/22/?title=UWB) to visit our virtual space. Please feel free to contact Andreas Brockhaus if you are interested in learning more about Second Life or exploring how it can be used in education.
