Self-Paced Polling

Self-Paced Polling allows instructors to administer assessments, evaluations, and surveys using TurningPoint and Clickers. Students will be able to work at their own pace to answer instructor-created questions.

To setup Self-Paced Polling:

  1. Click on Self-Paced Polling (right-column) in the TurningPoint Dashboard
  2. Click on Continue to Self-Paced Polling
  3. Click Accept Logins (NOTE: must have a Question List for this portion)
  4. Select the Participant Login option from the drop-down menu
  5. Select the Time Limit from the drop-down menu
  6. Select the Completed Test Message from the drop-down menu
  7. Click OK. At this time, participants can login to the test
  8. Click on Start Polling. Participants can now take the test.
  9. Click on Stop Polling, once all of the results have been received, to end the test
  10. Click on Save to save the session results for later analysis/grading
  11. Name your session and then click on Save

NOTE: In the TurningPoint Self-Paced Polling window, a green checkmark will appear next to each user, letting you know that they have completed the test.
