In addition to the announcements appearing on your Canvas page, you may also send notifications of new announcements to your non-Canvas accounts. Currently, there are three places you may have your notifications sent to: your email address, Facebook or Twitter.
To set up announcement notifications, click your name from the toolbar in the upper right corner of the screen.
You will be redirected to your profile page. From there, click the Notifications tab from the menu on the left side of the page.
Clicking this tab will bring you to your notification settings page. Find Announcements under Course Activities.
Hover your mouse over the column reading email address and displaying the email address you'd like to receive notifications for. You will notice that four options will appear. Clicking one of these options will change how often you are notified of new announcements:
Notify me right away
Send a daily summary
Send weekly summary
Do not send me anything
