How-To Guides

Blogs are websites that allow users to easily write up text, post pictures, add videos, and other media. Unlike a traditional website, blogs are suited for regular updates in a post/comment format and allow for multiple authors and commenters to participate.

Teaching with Blogs

Blogs are a useful tool for teaching in a number of ways.

  • Spur discussion on a topic before or after a class by blogging about the class.
  • Encourage peer interaction by having students create their own blogs and commenting on each others blogs.
  • Publish blogs publicly to gather external input and feedback on work.
