Upload Files

To upload files onto a page:

  • Click the Modules link.

Click on Modules on the left sidebar on Canvas

  • Click the title of the page you want to edit and then click Edit.

  • In the Rich Content Editor, click to place your cursor where you want the file to be inserted.

  • In the Content Selector, click on the Files tab. If you are uploading an existing file from your Course Files folder, then simply click on the folder and choose the file that you want to upload. If you are uploading a new file, click Upload a new file, then Browse to look for the file on your computer. When the file is found, click Open.

  • To place this file into a File Folder, click the Course Files dropdown menu and choose where you would like to store the file.

  • Click the Upload button to upload the file onto the page.

  • The name of the file will flash yellow and will appear in the Rich Content Editor where your cursor was placed. Then the name will turn blue, indicating that the file is a link.Rich Content Editor highlighted file when uploaded to page in module on Canvas
     
  • Click Save Changes.
